Making model parts requires attention, precision, and perfect file preparation. To achieve a flawless result together, we have prepared a clear and simple guide.

Step by step to the perfect model

1. Define materials

Choose the material(s) you want us to use for your parts. You can see available options (plexiglass, hardboard, plywood, etc.) on our page Materials.

2. Check lines in your working file

Before preparing the final file: Remove duplicate lines. Avoid fill (filled surfaces), all shapes must be clean vector lines. Separate cutting and engraving lines with different colors (e.g., red for cutting, blue for engraving).

3. Prepare PDF files

Prepare your work as a vector PDF file. If you use multiple different materials, create a separate PDF for each material, named by the material and thickness (e.g., hardboard3mm.pdf, clearPlexiglass2mm.pdf). Please make sure to include a dimensioned page of a random element to avoid errors and verify scale accuracy.

4. Send us the files

Send us your PDFs along with information about the selected materials. After review, we will provide you with the exact production price and completion timeline.

5. Confirmation and production start

If the offered price and timeline work for you, confirm the order, and we start production.

6. Production and pickup

If everything is ready and files are properly prepared, parts for your model are usually done the next day after receiving the PDF. You can pick them up in person or arrange delivery.
